Hey there! I’m Julianne, a soft-hearted introvert who’s passionate about creating meaningful, timeless images. I’m based in Durham, North Carolina, and when I’m not behind the camera, you’ll probably find me learning something new, snuggling my bunnies, Bri and Rosie, or obsessing over AJR’s latest album.
My journey into wedding photography started with trial and error, and now I run my business on my own terms, focused on celebrating your unique story. Whether it’s a small, quiet moment or a big, joyful celebration, my approach is about blending thoughtful intention with a touch of neuroscience to guide attention to the beauty in every frame.

My love for photography began with mirror selfies and college portrait sessions but truly blossomed when I discovered the magic of capturing love stories. With a background in vision neuroscience, I use what I learned in graduate school to craft images that draw your eye to the beauty and emotion of your wedding day.
I approach every wedding with a sense of care and curiosity, aiming to make the experience feel effortless for you. My editing style leans toward timeless, film-inspired tones, and my focus is always on creating photos that feel authentic and full of life.

I’ve been where you are.Wedding planning can be a LOT to handle. I’m here to help share the load. Here’s some unsolicited advice, the same that any married couple would give to those planning a wedding (!):
Just remember that the months of planning end up equating to a SIX-HOUR EVENT. That’s bonkers. Consider the entire day — heck, the entire engagement season — as your wedding. Soak up the season of being a fiancé/e, soak up the anticipation of finally getting married to your favorite person, and soak up being surrounded by all your friends and family who support and love you. Be an emotional sponge.
